Analysis of the trailer
In this movie’s trailer, there are 3 key scenes acting like an introduction to the movie, which are the parts that refers to the past sequels, the peaceful scene, and when things go wrong. This is often a similar pattern of introducing a movie, which brings curiosity of what will happen next to the audiences and makes genres of the movie (action, adventure, sci-fi) recognizable. It gives clues about the story when the group of protagonists travel to the park of dinosaur, mentioning about a new dinosaur that was genetically edited, then shows the sign that the dinosaur can leak out of its cage through the scene of running and violence.
The audios also help to make the trailer become more intense. The dialogues of the characters help in giving clues of narrative since the start of the trailer. In 0:10 of the trailer, the woman said, “And remember, if something chases you, run”, which can already refer to what might happen when they visit the dinosaur park. For soundtrack, the music gets more intense when they show the scenes of various dinosaurs to show how enormous, majestic, and formidable they are. However, instead of using more intense sound at the scene of dinosaurs leaking, they use the calming notes music that refer to the past sequel movies’ recognizable soundtrack in Jurassic Park, which reminds of how the same tragedy will be repeated again.
For other information in the trailer, they show the production studio logo first to say that this movie is from the famous studio and has high-quality production. The released date often shows up from the beginning to the end, which helps notify and makes the audiences feel more excited to see. The name of the producer is also mentioned early as he is famous. Most of wording parts only appear to say the released dated and mentioning how this movie relates to the past sequel movies. The name of the movie is shown at the end of the trailer with some more exciting scenes. The names of some exclusive production are shown at the very last second as some excessive information for the audiences for considering seeing more.
